KIPO has a system called 'Priority examination' which reduce the examination period of 8-10 months to only 1 month. However, the priority examination system only applies to trademarks already used in the market at the time of application. In order to prove this, you must submit materials proving the use of the trademark. (i.e. pictures of signboard or products). There will be extra official fee for priority examination. |
